This immersive study tour is led by Jana Hawley, Dean at the University of North Texas, an experienced tour leader who has led study tours to India, Peru, Uzbekistan, Guatemala, Mexico, Europe, Japan, Laos, and Cambodia. The tour is designed for ITAA members with passion for handcrafted textiles and craft who crave deeper engagement with global craft traditions. Over two weeks, you’ll explore Morocco’s diverse regions—from the labyrinthine medinas of Fes and Marrakech to the sweeping dunes of the Sahara—while learning directly from master artisans and cultural stewards.
